 Builder Specialties is proud of our 40+ years experience servicing the builder and homeowner communities in Atlanta. We’ve provided the products and installations for appliances, fireplaces and facings, garage doors, insulation and outdoor kitchens with the expertise you expect from an industry leader.

In the mid 1960’s a fireplace and appliance distribution company named Sun Valley was started in Atlanta with 5 employees.  In 1990 Sun Valley evolved into Residential Construction Specialties (RCS), a name synonymous with home building and remodeling in the Atlanta market and beyond. In 2004, four RCS salesmen and two key operational VP’s joined together with the original president of RCS to establish Builder Specialties. Builder Specialties acquired the selected assets of RCS just four short years later, including three Atlanta-area showrooms and more than 70 of their most experienced employees.

Today Builder Specialties continues to evolve. Though still committed to our builders and the homeowners purchasing their homes, we acknowledge the changing climate of today’s market and the changing needs of our customers. We are leveraging our skills and products to better serve the community in their existing homes and ensure that they are getting the most out of the products they have purchased from us over the past forty years. We have launched a website dedicated to our scratch and dent, display model and overstock inventory in order to better accommodate a financial climate that demands responsible spending. We look to new products that will help ensure sustainability and preserve the resources of our planet.
